Ryan “Cal” Callaghan is Director of Conservation at MeatEater and host of the weekly podcast Cal’s Week in Review. Callaghan studied history and anthropology at the University of Montana before becoming a hunting and fishing guide on the outskirts of Glacier National Park, the Missouri breaks, the Frank Church and Bob Marshall wilderness areas. Callaghan was the first employee of the now MeatEater-owned technical hunting apparel brand First Lite, where he established the brands conservation ethos which they are known for today. Callaghan is a member and national board member of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.
Shane Clouse is a singer songwriter and Montana native. He is a nationally known country recording artist, who has opened for top country stars such as Dierks Bentley, Phil Vasser, and Rodney Atkins. In addition to his love for music, he also is the president of the Montana Wild Sheep Foundation!
Les is an avid hunter and veteran of the United States Army. He lives in Denver, Colorado. Les has been involved in the auction business since he was 12 years old. Les supports the Wounded Warrior program; and as a guide and outfitter he takes several Wounded Warriors hunting each year, several of these hunts were televised. Les does over 60 auctions a year for conservation, working 22 states and two Canadian provinces. Les is also a professional rodeo announcer working over 20 rodeos each year. This will be his second year with the Midwest Chapter.
Steve is an avid hunter and fisherman. He lives in Hayward, WI. Steve is G.M./Principal at WRLS FM Radio. In addition to running the radio station, he is Emcee at many conservation functions around Minnesota and Wisconsin. Steve has done great work for the Midwest chapter in the past and we welcome him back for our 40th year!
