  Bow hunting Accomplishments – second bow hunter to get the North American Grand Slam of wild sheep (1985 – 22 days after Jack Frost) – to date has completed 3 ½ Grand Slams of North American Wild Sheep – 1997: became the third person to have the 28 North American species – 1998: became the first bow hunter to have all 28 North American species in the Pope and Young record book – first bow hunter to take the Ovis World Slam (Sheep), 12 species – second bow hunter to take the Capra World Slam (Goat) – 22 wild sheep to date – 14 wild goats to date – bow hunted in 19 countries –

Billy Molls

Modern day Mountain Man

Billy’s experiences fishing, trapping, and hunting with his father and grandfathers in the lakes, ponds, and woods near his Wisconsin home nurtured a passion for outdoor adventure that could only be contented in the wilds of Alaska. At the age of 19 he left the family dairy farm to fulfill his dream. After attending a guide school in Montana and a two-year apprenticeship in the bush of the Last Frontier, Billy became a licensed Alaskan big-game hunting guide. For the past 20 years he has led sportsman from around the globe to some of the most remote regions of the state in pursuit of Dall sheep, moose, caribou, wolf, brown bear, and grizzly bear.


Les Olhauser

Les is an avid hunter and veteran of the United States Army. He lives in Denver, Colorado. Les has been involved in the auction business since he was 12 years old. Les supports the Wounded Warrior program; and as a guide and outfitter he takes several Wounded Warriors hunting each year, several of these hunts were televised. Les does over 60 auctions a year for conservation, working 22 states and two Canadian provinces. Les is also a professional rodeo announcer working over 20 rodeos each year. This will be his second year with the Midwest Chapter.


Steve Kaner

Steve is an avid hunter and fisherman.  He lives in Hayward, WI.  Steve is G.M./Principal at WRLS FM Radio.  In addition to running the radio station, he is Emcee at many conservation functions around Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Steve has done great work for the Midwest chapter in the past and we welcome him back for our 40th year!
