Jesse Bone

Film Producer

“Transmission” Film – Doctors, farmers, biologists, & volunteers come together to fight a deadly disease threatening both wild & domestic sheep, in this feature-length documentary. Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae (MOVI) is a bacteria that has led to the pandemic spreading through wild sheep. TRANSMISSION looks at the people on the front lines fighting the disease. One of those people is the subject of our film, BC wildlife veterinarian Dr. Helen Schwantje, along with others committed to wild sheep conservation. The standard method of dealing with MOVI is to capture wild sheep, test them, and then cull the positive ones before they can infect others. Succeeding in this experimental treatment in BC will mean having a conservation model that all the world could follow.

As a documentary filmmaker, Jesse thrives when telling impactful stories shaped by wild places. Filter Studios was founded as a vehicle to bring his foundational passion for creative, immersive storytelling to the outdoor industry.
